Married Life

So, wow...it's been what...3 months or so since we have been married in that wonderful ceremony. How is life now with my husband? Excellent! I truly feel so happy to have this man in my second life. We have just passed the 1 year mark that we've been together and it makes me so happy because we both haven't had SL relationships for that long.

Every day I find myself doing things with my husband in our own little world and to tell the truth, I'm content like that. We don't constantly have to surround ourselves with our SL friends and family cause in the end, we're ok with just each other. We could hang in the house all day just chatting, or boom booming, or playing with Jacob.

There are also times that we go exploring together. We have been to so many different sims and places as you have seen in previous posts. I love being able to comment on what I've seen to my husband and him to me. It brings us so much closer than before. That and the fact that we are quite the photographers.

So what is our secret? No secret is needed...we just know our boundaries and know what makes us happy. We also try to keep out of drama whenever we can. Maybe that's why we are so reclusive. Maybe one day we'll get to the point we're we are constantly surrounded by family, friends and children. But right now, we are all the family we need.

Speaking of children...are there any more kittens in our future? Yes, but in the way future. Hopefully a little girl to join our little boy, but right now Jacob Ehren is handful enough. To me...both him and his daddy are more than I can handle. :P But I love my guys and that's what matters.

Our Japanese Honeymoon Pt 1.

The flight to our honeymoon destination was long but it seemed less than. We got to our resort without any problems and when we did, we were so pleasantly surprised. It was so gorgeous and full of everything that a newlywed couple should have or need.

Beautiful right? We toured around the house before coming back out for one last dance as bride and groom. I couldn't believe it. We were married. What we have been waiting for for months and months was finally finished.

Once our dance was done, we went inside for our first night as a married couple. It was breathtaking...literally. Mr. Helix didn't stop for a minute to let me catch a breath! It was worth it though. All of this was worth it.

The Day of Our Lives Pt. 3- The Reception

First thing we did after the wedding was head outside for some wedding pics. Sadly some of our wedding party members had to leave to RL so we continued to have fun. People went to dance at the reception while T and I took the rest of our photos. I was just so amazed that I was now Mrs. Helix. We had a long journey together, having our son first and so it felt like a long time coming to be his other half.

We went back in and started our first dance to John Legend's All of Me. That song just signified how much this man means to me. Every single word. We then cut and tried to eat the cake which ended up more on our faces! T also took his sweet time getting out my garter, with his teeth...needless to say he excited me right away. I was eager to hurry up and get on our plane to our honeymoon in Japan.

It's early in the morning...and who knows where the hubs is? Probably off exploring somewhere. Me? I'm chill. Thinking about my love, loving the atmosphere of the sun just starting to come up and loving the relaxing feel of my Booty Bandanas. That's right. You heard me. Booty Bandanas. They are new underwear for ladies released by my bestieface Kilo from her store KJIm. These cute panties that fit just right around your derriere  and they come in so many different colors and themes like this Hot Buns pair I'm wearing. They come separately or in a huge pack. I'm more partial to the demo, but I'm pretty sure Kilo would prefer me to show you the more excellent ones. So head over to KJIm to buy some of these pretties. Then find a nice comfy bed like mine and chill for the morning. Cause that's where's it's at.

Thoughts On Marrying In Second Life

Saedi did such a good job writing about our wedding and I don't think Ican add much to it, so I thought I'd write about the subject of marriage in SL in more general terms. One of the things that sets SL apart from other games is how many different things you can do. Many people in SL find that they meet people that they care about and love and as in real life and want to make the grandest gesture of love and marry. SL marriages are much different then real life ones. 

I think SL relationships are so much fun because most of our real life stress is left in real life. The same is true of marrying in SL. For the most part SL marriages are all the fun things you think of when you think of being married. Fun things like someone being there for you all the time, one lover who knows you well , a partner in crime for your adventures. The stress of money that hurts so many real life relationships does not seem to be much of a factor in Second Life.

So why do so many SL marriages end ? Well, I think for the same reason so many real life ones do. People live very hyper lives these days and need instant gratification. Nowhere is this truer then in SL. People end up cheating a lot in SL, so that's a big part why things fall apart. I learned from my own time married in SL ( I was married once before Saedi and partnered one other time.) There are a few other factors that can change the bliss of marriage. Real life can screw up many SL marriages- jealous real life spouses and things that keep you offline like your job and RL family can keep you offline. I remember feeling very alone when i was logging on for days at a time and not seeing my partner.

How do I think I'll make this marriage last unlike my last one?  I learned a lot since then; things like you have to trust your mate, you have to be on and spend time with them and try to make them feel as if everyday is just as wonderful as the first day you fell for each other. SL marriages aren't the same as real life ones but they require work and love to last. 

The Day of Our Lives pt 2- The Ceremony

THE CEREMONY

After that relaxing spa day with Kilo, we started to get ready for the wedding. It took forever it seemed to do my hair and to slip into my gigantic dress. But my lady of honor had it handled and soon we were both dressed, with ample time to get some pictures done.

After the fun taking pictures, we went to the bridal cottage while T and our groomsmen, Devin and Mikil  came over to take pictures and to get into place. Kilo and I had a good time shaking our booties to get away nerves until the rest of my wedding party came. My two bridesmaids Azdra and Springy looked beautiful and my granddaughter Lesly was my flower girl and she looked like a white angel. We talked while Kilo held Jacob who was our best man.

After a while the wedding party made their way down the aisle and it was just me and I was so nervous and excited to see my groom. I knew once I did, I'd be just fine. Devin walked me down the aisle and his expression was priceless. He thought I was so beautiful and I was so full of happiness to see him in his tux. I was also happy to see all the people who came to see us get married. Everything was just so gorgeous that it felt like a dream.

We stood together at the altar finally hand in hand and I knew that my future would be nothing but bright as I stared into T's eyes. We said our heart felt vows and gave each other our rings. Almost there and I was trembling with excitement.

When it came time for the kiss, you know that T-Bone had to do it in style. He dipped me and kissed me with so much love. Then another...then another. It was perfect and so him.

We did it. We are finally Mr. and Mrs. Helix! I couldn't be more happier.

What the Kitty Wore Today

This morning I went for a more Kawaii look as it was a "Something in Your Mouth" event at Corrupt II. So I went with a mouse mouthie and went with the flow. I didn't even care enough to put on shoes..it was a "fuck it" moment for serious.

Later on during the afternoon for T's impromptu event at Sound Garden, I took a more sexier route to which he definitely approved. Let the hair down and put on what looks like my tallest shoes! They were given to me by T's DJ co-work Bitten, who is quite awesome and a half!

The Day of Our Lives Pt 1- Spa Day

Finally it was April 11th and I was so excited for it. I woke up at my best friend, Kilo's house and after getting dressed the the bride outfit she got for me because she is my awesome Lady of Honor, (I picked the title Lady of Honor because it's modern times and she is in no way a maid.) we went to an awesome spa! The owner, Remy did my massage, gave me a facial and also gave me a pedicure and manicure, despite being pregnant with twins! I thought she was awesome for doing that. Kilo sat on the sidelines as there weren't enough workers to do her too. Such are the woes of SL. But after all that pampering we had a awesome sushi lunch with cake afterwards. YUMMY! I loved spending time with my bestieface and had a good laugh and she toasted my future with many more kittens. I'm thinking 20...we'll see.
